Associating an Access Group with an Mfg Item

You can associate Access Groups with one or more products, which will then be restricted from access in the storefront regardless of general security provisions. Customers must have an explicit assignment of an Access Group in order to view and purchase products within the associated Access Group. Perform the following steps to associate an Access Group with an Mfg Item.

1. Navigate to the Item Master Listing page by selecting Store Management>Mfg Items. The Item Master Listing page appears.

2. You can search for a particular item master by entering search data in the relevant fields and clicking the Search button. To search for and display all of your item master listings, simply click the Search button. The item master listings appear below as shown in the following example.

3. Select the link for the Mfg Item you want to associate with an Access Group. The Item Master Definition page for the item you selected opens.

4. Click the Access Groups tab. The Access Groups area appears below.

5. Click the New button. An Access Group Code drop-down menu appears.

6. Select the Access Group you want to associate with the Item Master from the Access Group Code drop-down menu.
7. Click Save to save your changes.
